Tournament Planning Ideas
Tee prizes - most events give a gift to every player who participates in the event.
Event Winners - 1st place, 2nd place, etc. Most events will need 4 events for each place. Sometimes events will award prizes for "Gross" and "Net" winners.
Longest Drive Awards - Usually two awards, one for the front nine and one for the back nine. Co-ed events will also have a women's and men's long drive.
Closest to the Pin Award. Up to 4 awards (as much as one for each par 3's). Co-ed events will usually designate a women's award.
Gag Awards - "Shortest Drive", "Highest Score", "Most Lost Balls" are examples of fun awards.
Sponsor Gifts - Many events have sponsors who pay to be an advertiser during the event. This can range from "Presented By" sponsors to "Hole" sponsors (companies pay to have their sign on each hole). Events with sponsors will usually purchase a gift for the sponsors. Engraved trophies make excellent sponsor gifts.
Auction / Raffle Prizes - Many events are charity events and conduct a raffle or auction to raise money during the event. One of the best golf related raffle prizes is the Clicgear Cart, distributed by Clicgear USA, a division of ProActive Sports, Inc.
